Located in Dolores, Colorado, K-9 Search and Rescue Team Inc. is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization that is on call twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions or circumstances, to assist local, state, and federal agencies in the search for missing persons.

 

The Team has been asked to respond to wilderness, water, snow, urban, evidence, homicide, aircraft, and disaster-type searches, providing assistance to 11 states all over the US including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Alaska, California, Idaho, and Texas.

 

 

TEAM  GETS A RIBBON

 

The Team participated in the Escalante Day Parade in Dolores on Sunday, August 15th, and received a 3rd Place Ribbon and Certificate for Best of Group!

 

PANCAKE BREAKFAST IS A HIT! 

On Saturday, August 14th, the Team hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at the Doghouse. Hundreds of supporters and friends enjoyed a cooked breakfast of pancakes and sausage, took tours around the Doghouse, and met members of the Team, both 2 AND 4-legged!. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and helped support the operations of the Team. All proceeds from the event go towards the operational costs of the Team.

 

TEAM ATTENDS SARCON 2010, July 15th-18th

Most of the Team attended SARCON 2010, hosted on the campus of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. This is one of the major search and rescue conferences for the region. Classes were slotted into basic and speciality SAR, air, and K9 tracks. Read more about the conference by visiting the website, www.sarcon.org.
